Charles Cardwell has worked extensively throughout many sectors within the Aviation Industry. The contacts, knowledge & experience he has gained is being utilised at Cardwell Consultancy to develop systems and processes that help to enhance the sales, efficiency and cost effectiveness of businesses both inside and outside of the Aviation Industry.

Charles’ background is as a Commercial Airline Pilot. He has also worked on the ground in management positions with companies such as Aviance, Flybe, Ryanair, KLM UK, Airtours & JMC. Further experience includes work with Charter brokers & Logistics Centres such as Diplomat Flight Services, Time Critical Logistics & REEL International. The clients he has dealt with have included The BAA, DHL, Northwest Airlines, The US Department of State, The Ministry of Defence, The United Nations, USAID, GE Capital, Warner Brothers, NBC, DreamWorks, Universal Pictures and Sony.

His roles within these and his own companies have ranged from Project Planner & Manager, to Director level, helping to set up, run and manage several successful companies. During this time he has gained a high level of specialist experience in the following areas;

Information Technology including the set up and on-going management of secure web based data handling & management systems, technological integration, website design & build, e-commerce systems and web marketing & optimisation.

Finance management including reporting & analysis, book keeping & accounting systems, budget creation, and IR, HMRC & Companies House requirements.

Marketing including concepts, unique service development, presentation creation, branding, client liaison, client and supplier database maintenance and use and strategic planning.

Project Management including project planning and on-site project co-ordination, communication management, aircraft chartering & handling, customs, immigration, loading and permissions, dangerous goods movements, VIP movements and emergency response systems set up.

Through Cardwell Consultancy, Charles offers full Director Level support on a project or ongoing basis. Specialising in Project Management and Information Technology & Design consultancy, systems such as AirDAT (www.airdat.org), the UK’s leading airside driving test & data collation site have been created from conception through to use, and are managed on an on-going basis on behalf of clients such as the BAA by Cardwell Consultancy.
